Obituary

Mrs. Martha “Marty” Lynn Wolfe Mull, 72, of Morganton, passed away on

Wednesday, June 24, 2026, surrounded by her family, at Magnolia Lane, following a period of declining

health. Martha was born on February 21, 1954 in Pinella County, FL to the late Robert Alexander Wolfe and Katherine Berry Wolfe. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

As a true believer—Marty carried a tender love for Jesus Christ, her redeemer and

savior. Her pursuit of Christ was seen through her generosity, encouragement,

forgiving heart, and relentless hope.

Marty was known for her many passions, vivid imagination, expressive personality,

and the unmistakable creative energy she brought into the world. She expressed herself through baking, painting, handcrafted creations, and

immersive environments that showcased her bold, colorful style. Music fueled her imagination, brought her peace, and often accompanied her creative pursuits. She loved music, especially live performance, jazz, “hippie” music, blues, and so many more.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Chance

Francis. Survivors include her beloved husband, Michael “Mike” L. Mull of the

home, one son, Matthew “Matt” Mull of Morganton, and four daughters,

Stephanie Sutton (Doug) of Rock Hill, SC, Jessica Costanzo (VJ) of Belmont, Michael

L. Avery (Brenden) of Wilson, NC and Mackenzie Schaefer (Stephen) of Winston

Salem. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; Taylor Adkins (Will), Zeth Sutton (Sydney), Will Sutton, Nolan Constanzo, Emry Constanzo, Mila Mull, Lucas Hinson, Kohbe Avery, Scarlett Schaefer, Olivia Avery and Poppy Schaefer, one great-grandchild, Gadsden Adkins with another on the way, her sister, Nancy Wolfe of Glen Alpine, and two nieces, Keesha Carson (Marvin) and Dana Pittman (Guy).
