Marty Joe Bryan

Mr. Marty Joe Bryan, 47, of Valdese, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Marty was born on April 15, 1978, in Iredell County to the late Roger Meredith and Sonja Bryan, and was raised in Burke County. He was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church and was employed as an auto mechanic for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be deeply missed by everyone. Marty was simple man, who mainly loved spending time with his family and grandchild.

Surviving is his wife Elisha Marie Potter of the home, one son, Eli Bryan of Stateville and a brother, Adam Meredith and wife Christine of Lexington. Also surviving are stepchildren, Leland Potter, Waylon Potter, and one grandson, Dutton Beam.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, one at 11:00 A.M in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Danny Castle officiating.
