Marvin Douglas “Doug” Andrews, age 77, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 1, 2026.Doug was born on February 28, 1949 in Caldwell County to the late Marvin Pershing Andrews and Mildred Bean Andrews.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Doug spent his working years as a transport driver, a career he took pride in and one that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He enjoyed a simple life and found the most happiness at home.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Rash Andrews; daughters, Christine “Nickki” Nicole Mead (Kirk) and Stephanie Michelle Feimster (Jason); grandson, Hayden Mcilvain; granddaughter, McKinzie Feimster; sister, Peggy Curtis (Larry) of Ohio; and niece, Tearrea Shae. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who will miss him deeply. Doug will be remembered for his quiet strength and steady presence. His passing leaves a space in the hearts of those who knew him that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to live on through the lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, North Carolina, on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rutherford College.
The family will receive friends before the service on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
The family asks that those who knew Doug keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
