Mary Lou Holland Graves

Mary Lou Holland Graves, 82, of Granite Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at AMOREM of Hudson following a brief illness.

Mary was born June 20, 1943 in Hazard, KY, a daughter of the late Leonard Holland and Millicent Turner. She was an RN of many years at Valdese General Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by siblings, Leonard Holland, Jr., America Holland, Wilma Holland Whitaker, and Madeline Holland Fugate.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lowell D. Graves, Sr.; son, Lowell D Graves, Jr. (Lisa); a sister, Sue Chaney (Tony); a brother, Alan Holland (Terri); a grandson, Clayton Graves (Kaitlyn) and granddaughter, Alayna Graves.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Dry Ponds Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AMOREM of Hudson at 526 Pine Mountain Road, Hudson, NC 28638.
