Mary Starr Perry

Mary Starr Perry, 61, of Hickory, passed away on Friday December 26, 2025, at UNC Healthcare, Morganton after a period of declining health.

Mary was born April 16,1964 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late Virgil R. Perry, Sr and Erma Lee Helton Perry. She served her country as a member of the US Army and was formally employed with the town of Valdese Water Plant.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Nancy Stikeleather of Mint Hill, a brother Virgil R. Perry, Jr of Mint Hill, NC and her companion Chris Estes of Hickory.

At her request, there will not be a service at this time.
