Michael Fred Lunsford

Michael Fred Lunsford, 57, of Granite Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at his residence, following a period of declining health.

Mike was born August 9, 1968 in Burke County to Beulah Sharpe Lunsford and the late Jackie Fred Lunsford. He was a well known carp fisherman and loved hanging out at Lake Charles with Greg and the gang. Mike was also a well known carpenter with his dad.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Pam Brown (Doug), Deborah McKinnon, Jackie Anderson (Donald), Crystal Lunsford (Scott Dula), Lori Lane (Richard), Sherry Williams (Jonathan); brothers, Tim Lunsford (Angela), and James Lunsford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
