Nelleen Dale Davis

Nelleen Dale Davis, 92, of Morganton, went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday December 13, 2025, at the Berkeley Long Term Care Center after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Davis was born November 27, 1933, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Mamie Crawley Dale. She was a faithful member of Burkemont Baptist Church. Nelleen spent many years working with Drexel Heritage Furniture, Masterpiece Reproductions and retired from J. Iverson Riddle Development Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by in death by her husband, Roy Davis, three sisters, Martha Ann Causby, Dorothy Mozelle Duckworth, Sara Margaret Dale, three brothers, Roy Edward Dale, William Bill Dale and Thurman Dale.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Betty St. John and husband, Rev. Doug St. John of Morganton, and the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, Andy St. John and wife Gigi of North Myrtle Beach and Holly St. John Freeman and husband Joey of Morganton, great-grandchildren, Kendal and Jaidan Freeman.

Funeral Services for Nelleen Davis will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 16, 2025 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Doug St. John officiating. Interment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park.

The Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Service Valdese.

The Family would like to thank The Berkeley and Carolina Caring for their unconditional care given and shown to Mrs. Davis, especially Hannah Austin CNA, Rutha Bell RN, Sami Shephard RN, and Angela Myers, Social Worker.
