Nola Ann Ruppard

Nola Ann Ruppard, 67, of Valdese, passed away on Sunday December 28, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center, after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Rupard was born May 12, 1958, in Virginia, a daughter of the late Harry Eugene and Dorothy Hundley Downer. Nola was retired as an office nurse in the medical field after many years of service. She was a member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church and loved to plant flowers and garden.

Surviving is her husband, Ronnie E. Ruppard of the home, a daughter, Ashley Maynor of Gastonia, a brother, Barry Downer of Lawrenceville, VA, two sisters, Donna Stephens of Morristown, TN, Terra Alford of OK and a special family friend and caregiver, Alene Somps of Valdese.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Slice Penny officiating. A reception will be held following the service at the church.
