Peggy Elaine Hall

Mrs. Peggy Elaine Shook Hall, 76, of Granite Falls, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the Brockford Inn Assisted Living Center, following a period of declining health.

Peggy was born on December 7, 1950, in Catawba County to the late William Shook and Louise O’Shields Shook. She was previously employed in the hosiery industry and later worked to take care of her family as a loving homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Ray Hayes and Thad Hall, one sister, Brenda Shook Bowman and one brother, David Shook.

Surviving are her two sons, Ashely Hayes of Conover and Tad Michael Hayes of Lenoir. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Jasmine and Jaelyn Hayes, and Hayden and Raegan Hayes, three great-grandchildren, Rosie, Breece and Jerome “Four”, and numerous nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Larry Shook and Gene Shook.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. at Setzer's Creek Baptist Church.
