Mrs. Reba Ann Clark Blankenship, 83, of Morganton, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at her residence, following a period of declining health.

Reba was born on May 26, 1943, in Burke County to the late William Taft Clark and Fannie Brittain Clark. She was a retired dietician supervisor, working for 36 years at Broughton Hospital, and was a member of Celia Creek Baptist Church in Lenoir. Her enjoyment in life was going to church, and feeding her family and friends, especially with her home cooked food that she canned each summer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery David Glazebrook, by her brothers, Festes Bollinger, Sanford, Raymond, Ted, Frank and Taft Clark, and her sisters, Jessie Fay Arney, Wilma Clark and Linda Smith.

Surviving are her two daughters, Vickie Smith and husband Glenn of Morganton, and Jackie Blankenship and husband Eric of Morganton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Shoun Smith and Tiffany Smith, Zackary, Damon, Loclyn and Autumn Blankenship, and Kayla Shaw, six great-grandchildren, one sister in-law, Pat Clark, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Celia Creek Baptist Church in Lenoir, with Rev. Bradley Crump officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Celia Creek Baptist Church.
