Rebecca Ann Jarrett Harrison, 89, of Hildebran, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2026 following a period of declining health.
Rebecca was born on September 17, 1936 in Catawba County, a daughter of the late Guy Franklin and Fannie Bet Danner Jarrett. She loved to be out of doors in her garden, but her favorite places to walk were in the stores she frequented while shopping. She loved browsing through the Valley Hills Mall and was often found at the perfume counter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of nearly sixty years, James Franklin Harrison; a cousin who was dear to her like a sister, Janell Danner Lingerfelt; a sister, Wilma Dean Jarrett Short; and a brother-in-law, Billy Joe Short.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Cindy Sanders (John) and Lori Suddreth (Ned); grandchildren, Rachel Caroline Sanders; Anna Brooke Suddreth; and Sara Beth Suddreth (Malachi); a greatgrandchild who she was very proud to see, Jack Finley Jakab; and her beloved fur baby, Rose Marie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2 PM at Hildebran United Methodist Church with John Sanders and Pastor Ricky Cooke officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1 PM to 2 PM at Hildebran United Methodist Church.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory is assisting the family.
