Mrs. Clara Renee Knox, 69, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Carolina Caring Hospice of Sherrills Ford, following a period of declining health.

Renee was born on July 19, 1956, in Catawba County to the late Lattie James “Bud” Knox and Barbara Curtis Knox. She was a loving mother and homemaker, who enjoyed her arts and crafts, beach trips, spending time with her boys and family, and her beloved cat, Sophie.

Surviving are her two sons, Ryan Wesley Ledford of Hickory and Patrick Aaron Ledford of Hickory, and a brother, Stanley Knox and wife Scottie Sue of Valdese. Also surviving is her nephew, Zachary James Knox, a niece, Ivanna Rose Knox and boyfriend Nick Littlejohn , four aunts, Flora Knox, Burlene Price, Becky Curtis and Kaye Cooks and husband Gerald, along with numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Stephen Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church in Longview.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
