Rita Andrews Bolick, 71, of Drexel, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 29, 2026; after several years of declining health.

Rita was born September 7, 1954 in Avery County, to the late Bill Carl Andrews and Dorothy Stewart Andrews. She was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Morganton, where she loved her Lord and Savior and cherished her church family. Rita enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often planning dinners and fellowship.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Maxwell.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, James Michael Bolick; brothers, Tom Andrews and wife Patsy of Morganton, and Ken Andrews and wife Carol of Greer, SC; sister, Sharon Ball and husband Jim of Morganton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A gathering of friends will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the fellowship hall at Solid Rock Baptist Church .

A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Stacey Layne officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.
