Rita Ann Horowitz Granoff

Mrs. Rita Ann Horowitz Granoff, 78, of Granite Falls, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Rita was born on November 23, 1947 in New York, NY to the late Paul David Horowitz and Laura Libin Horowitz. She was a retired public-school teacher, serving in New York for over 40 years. Rita enjoyed musicals, going to Zumba class, spending time with her grandchildren, and her beloved dog Benji. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend to many, who will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are her two children: son, Daniel Granoff and spouse Natalie of Connelly Springs, and daughter, Erika Granoff of Hickory. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Connor and Chase, and her brother, Arthur Horowitz and spouse Jason of California.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
