Robert Anthony Amaral, 81, of Hildebran, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2026 at AMOREM of Valdese following a period of declining health.

Robert was born August 30, 1944 in Bristol, MA, a son of the late Antonio Amaral and Julia Darowski Amaral. He loved to ride motorcycles

Those left to cherish his memory include his spouse, Patricia Amaral; sister, Carol Smith (Smitty); stepdaughter, Bobbie Self (Ronny); stepson, William Mathis (Stephanie); grandchildren, Mindy Philbeck (Nathan), Kyle Self, Lily Mathis and Hunter Mathis; a nephew, Eric Smith; a niece, Sonya (Rick); his grand-dogs, Annie, Birdie, and Pennie; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
