Robert Michael Brooklyn, 78, of Morganton, passed away peacefully on Monday September 21, 2026, following a brief period of declining health.

Born in London, England, on April 24,1948, Robert came to the United States as a young man to pursue his educational goals. He later made North Carolina his home, where he built a life centered around his work and his love of animals.

For more than 25 years, Robert owned and operated Bodywork Therapeutic Services, serving the Burke County community as a deep tissue massage therapist. Through his work, he was able to help many people and form meaningful connections with those he served.

A lifelong lover of cats, Robert cared for many throughout the years, often providing them with a safe and loving home. His compassion for animals was a special and enduring part of his life.
