Robert Burns

Robert *Wayne* Burns, 58, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Saturday October 18, 2025, at his residence after a brief illness.

Robert was born April 15, 1967, in Burke County, a son of Patsy Bolin Burns and the late Ray Cox. He was employed for 37 years as a weaver at Valdese Weavers. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many friendships over the years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Burns.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother Patsy Burns of George Hildebrand, his significant other, who he loved very much, Barbara Hamilton of the home, step-children, Sunshine Babbitt (Howard) of Spartanburg, SC, Trinity Hunt (Samantha) of Drexel, NC, step-father, Ralph Gentry, sister-in-law, April Bolin of Hickory and aunt, Betty Burns of Hildebran. Also surviving are the apples of his eye, his grandchildren, Roland, Russell, MacKinzie, Maddie and Michael, as well as many other beloved family and friends.
