Robert Lee Jones

Robert Lee “Rob” Jones, 93 of Icard, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Aston Park following a brief illness.

Rob was born April 12, 1932 in Carter County, Tennessee, a son of the late Bobby Taylor and Dorothy Beam Jones. He was a truck driver for Waldensian Bakeries for forty-seven years prior to retirement, and he always had a passion for Fords. He loved to fish and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his camping neighbors at Lake James Family Campground. While there, he would often back boats and trailers into the water. He was a faithful and loyal family man who adored his wife and did not like to be parted from her all the years of their marriage. His wife and children were his whole life. He was very proud of his service in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 71 years, Martha S. Jones, and his children, Eric Jones and wife, Sheila, and Cameron Jones.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Pastor Chris Uren officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
