Robin Smith Abernethy

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robin Abernethy a devoted mother, loving grandmother, beloved sister, and cherished friend. Born on April 16, 1960, Robin lived a life centered around her family, always offering love, support, and a warm heart to those around her.

Robin was the proud mother of four children: Misty Abernethy, Katie Hernandez, Kristina Hernandez, and Tyler Hernandez. She found her greatest joy in being a grandmother and leaves behind six grandchildren who were the light of her life: Dylan Buckles, Dawson Abernethy, Parker Medford, Ava Simmons, Peyton Medford and Abigail Simmons.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Kathy Josey and Terri Young as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her deeply. Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Smith and Julia Rae Smith, whose love and values shaped the remarkable woman she became. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Jimmie Steven Smith, whom she never forgot and always held close in her heart.

Robin's legacy is one of love, strength, and dedication to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her in return. She will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
