Robin Neil Varney, age 63, was received into the arms of the Lord as he passed peacefully in his sleep in Valdese, North Carolina. Born in West Virginia to the late Alonzo and Alberta Sias Varney. Robin was the youngest of seventeen siblings and spent the last five years of his life in retirement, cherishing every moment with his loved ones.
Robin was a devoted father to three children and a proud grandfather to five grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kimberly Varney of Connelly Springs, Mitchell Varney of Hickory and Tekoa Baldwin of Conover. He was known for his playful spirit, always ready with a good prank or a witty remark to bring laughter to those around him. His love for music was evident in the way he played his guitar, filling his home with melodies and joy.
A devout follower of Christ, Robin’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was deeply grateful for every blessing and dedicated his later years to sharing the message of the Lord with family and friends. Robin’s gratitude, kindness, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew him.
Though many of Robin’s family members live far away and are unable to travel, his life and legacy will be honored in a memorial service on October 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Waldensian Trail of Faith. The service will be available online so that all who loved him can join in remembrance.
Robin’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the laughter, love, and faith he shared so generously.
