Ronald Glen Dickens Jr.

Ronald Glen "Bubby" Dickens Jr., 59, of Valdese passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at his residence, following a period of declining health

Bubby was born October 5, 1965, in Mullens, West Virginia, to the late Ronald Glen Dickens Sr. and Geraldine Mae (McKinney) Rose-Dickens. He worked as a butcher and in his spare time, loved to hunt, fish and collect knives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Dreama Gale Archambeault and Kennith Wilson Rose.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Glen Dickens; sisters Brenda Kaye Davis and Mona Lisa Goode; brothers Billy Gilbert Rose, Tommy Lee Rose, and Jerry Wayne Dickens; 15 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
