Ronald Ervin Williams

Mr. Rondal Ervin (Ron) Williams, 82, of Drexel, went to his Heavenly Reward on Monday September 22, 2025, just two days before his birthday, at Amorem, Hudson, after a period of declining health.

Mr. Wiliams was born September 24, 1946, in Burke County a son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Hern Williams. Ron was a faithful and active member of United Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and on numerous committees within the church. He served his country as a veteran of the Vietnam War, as a member of the U.S. Air Force and retired as a buyer within the Furniture Manufacturing industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in April of this year, by his wife Audrey Rocket Williams, and a brother, Robert Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Penny Eudy (Mark) of Greenville S.C., Leslie Williams of Walkertown, NC and Ashley Holt of Newton, a sister, Linda Harris (Truman) of Rutherfordton, a brother, Rex Williams (Pat) of Petaluma, CA, a sister-in-law, Terry Williams of FL. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Ronald E. “Ron” Williams will be held Saturday September 27, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. in the United Baptist Church with Doug Powell and Steve Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the United Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 12:00 PM Saturday at United Baptist Church on Messer Rd, Valdese.
