Ronnie Allen Icard, 59, of Connelly Springs, passed away at Catawba Valley Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Ronnie was born May 9, 1967 in Burke County, a son of Tony Davis and Jean Wycoff Icard. He loved to watch NASCAR and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed boar hunting and fishing, and owned his own construction company for several years. Many will know him from his time working at Tex’s Fish Camp and most recently at Granny’s Kitchen.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Coolidge and Mary Patton Wycoff and John and Eleise Icard; his uncles, Johnny and Steve Icard; his aunt and uncle, Brenda and Claude Moore; and cousin, Johnny Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents; daughters, Dakota Jones (Zak) of Elon, NC and Kayleigh Icard; brother, Casey Icard; granddaughter, Henderson; Uncle, Mike Wycoff; Aunts, Becky Ingle (Claude), and Dixie Icard; an Uncle, Mike Wycoff; and  cousins, Brandon Wycoff, Chad Ingle, Timmy Ingle, Amy Icard Best, Stevie Icard, Christy Icard, Steve Moore, Brian Moore, Scott Moore, and Tina Moore Byrd; longtime companion, Jeanine Costco and numerous other family members.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Ken Cranford for all of his kindness and support to Ronnie, as well as family and friends who visited Ronnie while in the hospital. and to Catawba Hospital for their excellent care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Tamika Garrison officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Heritage Funeral Service from 3 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
