Rosemarie “Ro” Torrusio Casabona, 86, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 26, 2026 following a period of declining health.

Ro was born December 11, 1939 in Bronx, New York, a daughter of the late Michael and Constance Mazzariello Torrusio. She deeply loved her Lord and Savior and remained a devout Christian throughout her life. Her faith inspired her to minister to people wherever she was. Her compassion and love were felt by many.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her daughter, Camille Zamparelli, and two siblings, Anthony Torrusio and Ronald Torrusio.

Ro was the second of six siblings and the mother of three children, who she was extremely proud of. Her surviving children are Richard Casabona (Joann) and Anthony Casabona (Kelly), and surviving siblings, Michael Torussio (Rebecca), Joann DeRosa (Anthony), and Denise Sabatino (Frank). She was blessed with ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her family continues to expand with one great-grandchild still on the way. Ro is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

As per her request, no services will be held.
