Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth Smith Miller, 84, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at UNC-BR Morganton, following a period of declining health.

Sandra was born on August 5, 1941, in Caldwell County to the late William Robert Smith and Pansy Smith. She was a longtime member of North Catawba Baptist Church, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker to her family. Sandra had an active faith, including singing in the choir, occasionally playing piano, and teaching children in Sunday School, VBS and was involved with numerous WMU activities. Sandra’s crocheted angels and snowflakes were popular Lottie Moon Missions fundraisers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Miller, a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Miller, five siblings, Hillard Smith, Rodney Smith, Dale Smith, Willard Guy Smith and Bob Smith, and a son in-law, Jimmy Pritchard.

Surviving are her three children, Chris Miller and wife Revonda of Sawmills, Cindy Pritchard of Morganton, and Kyle Miller of Lenoir. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Raelene Miller Greene and husband Dillon, Robert Miller, Katherine Miller, Kristina Miller and her partner Avier Richardson, and Jacob Miller, one great-grandson, D’lon Richardson and his sisters, A’mia and Alisea Richardson, and four siblings, Audrey Smith, Penny Smith, Sabra Haigler and husband Dale, and Danny Smith and wife Sandra.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at North Catawba Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. David Brown and Rev. John Barnhardt officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at North Catawba Baptist Church.
