Sandra Tipton

Mrs. Sandra Lail Tipton, 71, of Valdese, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, December 15, 2025 at her residence.

Sandy was born on December 27, 1953 in Burke County to the late Grady Lail and Betty Roper Lail. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, and was a longtime worker for several local textile manufacturers throughout the years. Sandy enjoyed spending time at home, especially by the pool with her family and two special dogs, Toby and Katie. She loved the Lord, loved having big family gatherings and decorating her home for each season.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Libby Lail.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 42 years, Joseph Lane Tipton of the home, and two children, Lisa Sharpe and husband Marc of Valdese, and David White of Houston, TX. Also surviving are three grandchildren: James Casey Brendle, with partner, Renee Foster and her children, Nevaeh, Skye and Maverick, Kennedy Brendle and husband Reno Hodges, and Sarah Sharpe and fiancé Graham Martin, Sandy’s siblings, Bobby Lail and Becky Deal, and numerous nieces and nephews, Bennylynn, Rhonda, Amanda, Shane, Tonya, Bryson, Dawn, Forrest, Keaton and Mallory.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with a Service of Remembrance to follow at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Danny Silvers officiating.
