Terry Wayne Bowman, 75, of Sawmills, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at his residence, following a brief illness.

Terry was born June 17, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late Cromer Bowman and Pauline Hice Bowman. Terry worked construction most of his life and was a jack of all trades. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, and caring for his animals; above all, he cherished family get-togethers and the time he spent with them.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Phelifia Michelle Bowman Marlow; grandson, Eric Hildebran; brothers, Harold Bowman, Aaron Bowman, Ira Cromer “Big Boy” Bowman, and Jerry Bowman; and sister, Faycle McGee.

He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Teressia Cox Bowman; son, Steve Hildebran and wife Donna; daughter, Christina Hildebran Walker and husband Jason; grandchildren, Makayla Marlow, Brianna Ellis and husband Bryson, Lily Walker, Kendale Hildebran, Kylee Hildebran, Logan Sparks, Keisha Hildebran, and Kaylynn Marlow; brother, Eddie Bowman and wife Stephanie; son-in-law, Justin Marlow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Pastor Mark Myers officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
