Terry Lynn Coulter

Mr. Terry Lynn Coulter, age 70, of Valdese, went home to be with the lord on Sunday August 30, 2026, at his residence.

Terry was born on April 25, 1956, in Burke County to the late Clyde Ray Coulter and Pauline Childers Coulter. Terry spent many years working as an IT Technician at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton, a job he truly loved. He was a proud member of the Epiphyllum Society and had a deep love for plants and gardening. Terry took great pride in his beautiful garden and spent as much time as he could caring for and tending to his plants. His love for gardening brought him great joy, and he cherished every opportunity to nurture and watch his plants grow.

In addition to his parents Terry is preceded in death by his brother Clyde Ray Coulter Jr.

Those left to cherish the memories Terry left behind are his sisters; Tamara Coulter of the home, Laura Huffman and Husband Bruce of Glen Alpine. Also surviving is one nephew; Lucas Huffman of Glen Alpine.

Per Terry’s request no formal services will be held.
