William Joe Causby

William Joe Causby, 61, of Lenoir passed away on Saturday September 20, 2025 at Lenoir Health Care Rehab.

Joe was born December 8, 1963, in Burke County, a son of the late David and Noami Kiser Causby. He was a graduate of Freedom High School and a former employee of Burke Mills, Inc. working in color textiles. Joe loved life, enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. He had heart of gold and never met stranger. More than anything he loved his family. Spending time at beach with Jeff and Darin and friends he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond and Celia Causby, William (Bill) and Myrtle Kiser, brother Alan Causby and niece Jennifer Causby.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, whom he loved dearly, Cindy Bowman and husband Charles, and a brother, Charles Causby. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Jade Crump, Derek Causby, Tim Boardwine, T.T. Boardwine, Jeff Elmore and Darin Miller, special friend, Melessa Teague and all her family, Shelia Sprouse, too many friends to list and last but not least his feline companion Peek-a-boo.

At his request, there will not be a service at this time, but a gathering of friends will be held at a late date. His love of the mountains is where his ashes will be scattered.
