William Lawrence "Bill" Ford, 91, of Morganton, passed away on Monday February 9, 2026, at Amorem, Burke Hospice, after a brief illness.

Mr. Ford was born October 11, 1934 in Burke County, a son of the late Frank C. and Claudia Franklin Ford. He retired as a foreman from Drexel Heritage Furniture Co. After retirement he stayed busy running a tractor, cutting wood and working around his home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Hartley Ford and several brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Danny Ford and wife, Diane Ford of Valdese, a sister, Betty Hallyburton of Morganton, two grandchildren, Cody Ray Ford, Brent Ford and a great-grandchild, Meadow Ford.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday February 14, 2026 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Dustin Camp officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
