William “Keith” Hughes, 65, of Valdese, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton following a period of declining health.

Keith was born June 5, 1961 in Avery County, a son Paul William Hughes and Judy Beam Hughes Biggerstaff. He served honorably in the United States Army.

He is preceded in passing by his mother, Judy Beam Hughes Biggerstaff; a daughter, Kimberly D. Hughes; and a brother, Tony Joe Hughes.

He is survived by his wife, Alicia Hughes; stepdaughter, Kayla; father, Paul W. Hughes; daughters, Nicole Swink (Eddie) and Heavenly Dellinger; sisters, Dana Barrier (Randy), Misty Biggerstaff, and Michelle Barrier; uncle, Ford Hughes (Sandra); Aunt, Patsy Brewer; six grandchildren; a number of greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at this time.
